Do you know Karl Zysset? You probably know his inventions. From the garlic press to the onion chopper to the salad spinner: the kitchen as we know it today would be unthinkable without Karl. From Switzerland, he has changed cooking worldwide. His drive was to bring joy to the kitchen through technical innovation and outstanding design. We have been living Karl’s ideals for over 70 years.

From bicycle mechanic to inventor of clever kitchen gadgets – Karl Zysset had the ingenious idea of ​​transferring the principle of the handbrake to the garlic press, thereby inventing a milestone in modern kitchen must-haves.

It is still indispensable in many households in Switzerland: the drum grater is a real classic with unique quality, durability and versatility. It is indispensable for grating rösti, the national dish of German-speaking Switzerland, and for enriching Bircher muesli.
