our design philosophy

Design is more than an attractive appearance. For us, design means responsibility – towards the people who use our products, towards future generations and towards our own origins.

Two people work at a cluttered table with kitchen utensils, design sketches, color swatches, a laptop, and a tablet, suggesting a collaborative product design or development process.

Design for people. What we do is always useful. We solve problems, make work in the kitchen easier and design products in such a way that they have the highest level of ergonomics. We focus on quality and durability. Our goal is always to bring joy and pleasure into the kitchen.

Traditional design. Zyliss is clearly committed to its long history, its Swiss origins and its entrepreneurial spirit. That's why all our products are clever, functional, timeless, valuable and have a well-dosed touch of Swiss understatement.

design for tomorrow.

Design for tomorrow. The most ecological material is not always the most sustainable. We take a holistic approach to our design decisions. We can only act responsibly if we take materiality, quality, packaging and the handling of food into account at the same time. The design of the new utensils follows our holistic concept of sustainability. The handles are made of 50% wheat straw. This renewable raw material reduces the need for plastic. The headboards are made of heat-resistant nylon – because nothing protects our environment more than durability. Some utensils have silicone edges. So no valuable food is left in the pot.
